Dan’s Music Studio  (DMS) was organized in 2006 by Dan O’Dea.   Upon graduating Rutgers University,  Dan’s vision was to provide quality music education in vocal and instrumental music to the youth and adults of the community.   Educated in West Orange,  Dan chose to open his business in his hometown.   In 2006,  he opened the school with one other teacher, serving 16 students each week. As enrollment grew, so did services and staff. Lessons are currently provided in piano, strings, percussion, and band instruments, as well as vocal performance.   Our "Little Theater" allows each student an opportunity to learn to perform on stage.
 
At DMS, we recognized the need for quality programs for children and adults with special needs.  As a former educator in the West Orange school system, Dan joined with the State of NJ to provide  music and tutoring services to the special needs population.  Today, DMS provides therapeutic music as well as many other educational services to both the special needs and general population.
